I definitely step into the confessional on this podcast — but Dan Miles always shows a lot of respect for the artists he interviews, and he has a deep knowledge of and enthusiasm for songwriting, so peeling off the mask of THE GREAT MAKE BELIEVER was pretty painless. Check it out below!
The UK’s Vulture Hound gives THE GREAT MAKE BELIEVER (“a country-tinged, summery collection of music”) 4 out of 5 stars. Thanks Vulture Hound!

Here’s my friend Craig (who directed the music video for “Anonymous”) modeling my new t-shirt on a trip to Columbia. Doesn’t he look sharp?
They’re super comfy, super lightweight, heather gray Next Level 50/25/25 shirts with a design by Chicken 3000, and they’re available now on Bandcamp for just $15. Sizes come in both Men’s and Women’s: S, M, L, and XL.
Whether you love my music, Morse code, or both — this is the t-shirt for you!
(Glasses not included).
Municipal red tape got in the way of throwing my release party at the chosen venue — Avant Garde — but Lewiston’s most awesome Baxter Brewing Co. showed much love by hosting the show with less than 24 hours’ notice.
The local Fourth Estate showed much love too. Thanks to the Lewiston Sun Journal for lots of primo coverage!
Three of my poems were reprinted in the visually stunning Spring issue of the Maine Arts Journal, along with a kind introduction from one of my favorites, the amazing poet Betsy Sholl.
Check out the journal online HERE.
To celebrate the release of my new album, I’m playing a free show at Avant Garde in Lewiston, Maine.
All the tunes from The Great Make Believer. Four or five Harry Nilsson songs. And a hot handful of other hits.
