Almost exactly a year ago — having moved away from Portland, Oregon and my usual musical community — I found I had a little extra time on my hands for once.
No practices. No gigs. No booking. No recording. (Don’t worry: that only lasted for a couple months).
Somehow I ignored the call of Nintendo’s Lego Star Wars, and instead started a poetry blog called YRTEOP.com (“poetry” spelled backwards), which features interviews with contemporary American poets (peeps like Matthew Zapruder and Sandra Beasley) and 1-Minute Poem Reports.
The idea is to talk about poetry in a kind of everyday way (and in digestible portions) to help attract some new readers to the world’s oldest literary art.
